INXS, pronounced "in excess", were an Australian rock band, formed in 1977 as The Farriss Brothers in Sydney, New South Wales. The band's founding members are Michael Hutchence, Tim Farriss, Kirk Pengilly, Andrew Farriss, Garry Gary Beers and Jon Farriss.
During a concert on November 11, 2012, INXS stated that they would end their activities, although they did not announce their permanent retirement.
